The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) assists low-income households in reducing their high fuel costs while contributing to national energy savings.The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is designed for households in need of assistance with the expense that occurs with their energy costs.

Available to assist families once per rolling year with rent and utilities. Those seeking assistance must come to the Church Office (by 2PM Tuesdays) after visiting the Food Bank, fill out a Benevolence Request Form, provide documentation, and make an appointment to meet with members of the Benevolence Team on Tuesday afternoons from 3-4PM.

During the past heating season the Greene County Firewood Ministry delivered (923) loads of firewood to (221) households in Greene County.

The Greeneville-Greene County Community Ministries exist to serve the needy with food, utilities, etc. in emergency situations.
