WSCC mTools: Presentation

Nearpod allows teachers to construct presentations using the Nearpod website and deliver instruction to students by pushing content out to multiple devices at once. The teacher controls the presentation from a master iOS device, while students follow along on a class set of iPods or iPads.

Padlet is the easiest way to create and collaborate in the world. It works like a sheet of paper where you can put anything (images, videos, documents, text) anywhere, from any device (pcs, tablets, phones), together with anyone.

Padlet already has over 5 million walls used for everything from teaching, brainstorming, note-taking, website publishing, bookmarking, selling goods, and blogging.

Prezi is a presentation tool that can be used as an alternative to traditional slide making programs such as PowerPoint. Instead of slides, Prezi makes use of one large canvas that allows you to pan and zoom to various parts of the canvas and emphasize the ideas presented there.

eMaze allows users to create, save, access, and present to their work to others in a variety of ways. There is no software to download because eMaze is accessed entirely online. This is a free web tool.

Blendspace is a free web tool for teachers to collect resources in one place to form a bundled, interactive lesson for students or colleagues.

Linoit is a free service that allows you to create a canvas of online multimedia sticky notes. In addition to basic text, the sticky notes you place on your canvas can contain videos, images, and file attachments. Unlike some similar sticky note services, Lino It allows you to alter the size and color of your fonts. You can use Lino It's built-in calendar tool to set due dates on your sticky notes.

Slid.es is a simple web app to make presentations. It’s simple to use and easy to make beautiful presentations with. Think Google Docs, but with a minimalist look and its own approach. All of this freely available, although you can upgrade to a Pro version to get more storage and private sharing.
