Virtual Learning Challenge

The Virtual Learning Challenge at Walters State challenges students to use their creativity, imagination, and skills to turn classroom knowledge into engaging presentations for other students.  Students can use an app or web tool to turn the class assignments they have already completed into intriguing videos for other students.

SPRING 2019 SUBMISSIONS

Welcome to the WSCC Mobile Learning Page

Mobile learning focuses on faculty and students engaging in new ways of teaching, learning, creating, connecting, and communicating.

Teaching and Technologies Fellows Program

The Teaching and Technologies Fellows, formerly Mobile Learning Fellows, (opens in a new window) program encourages faculty to explore methods of engaging students and increasing active student involvement using  emerging technologies and pedagogies. Faculty interested in becoming a WSCC Teaching and Technologies Fellow submit a proposal (opens in a new window). The proposals are evaluated using the Criteria for Analysis for Proposals by a Academic Mobile Learning Subcommittee. Two exemplary proposals are selected each year. After the proposals are selected, the Teaching and Technologies Fellows carry out the plan indicated in their proposal during the following academic year. The Academic Mobile Learning Subcommittee proudly congratulates the faculty selected for the Fellows program for 2020-2021:
